Well, we met a few years ago at a local co-working space—Nikki is a graphic designer and had been diving into social media management on the side while Jenn was a family/wedding photographer dabbling in branding photography. We mostly chatted about the struggle of being a work-from-home mama and not finding much of a creative business community in our little town of Longmont. One day we were exchanging struggles and a major lightbulb went off for both of us…it went something like this:

Nikki: “Gah! I’m so sick of trying to come up with fresh images for this account- I have nothing good to post except this boring stock photography.”

Jenn: “That’s funny- whenever I’ve done branding sessions before, I never really see the images on social media…you’d think if a business had content they’d use it more.”

And then our aha moment came pretty much immediately…

Jenn: “We should start a business where we offer branding photography and social media management to each client!?!”

Nikki: “Did we just become best friends!?!” (That part might not have happened but we like a good movie quote reference whenever possible.)

It seemed so obvious we honestly couldn’t believe someone wasn’t doing this around here already. It wasn’t long until we had a rad name, a pretty good idea of who we wanted to work with, and just started running with it.
